Wide Angle . Class of 2006 . Watch Online PBS

You know the story .. you're sitting at home flicking through the 100's of cable channels and not finding anything. This time was different and I ended up fixated on our local Maryland Public Television station engaged in a fascinating documentary following the first class of Morrocan female religious leaders in the Arab world. I've read and heard a number of theories that the rise of fundamentalist Islam may in part be directly related to the stature of women in some of these countries and its been hypothesized that a wider more integrated presence of women within the church would serve as a moderating counterpoint to some of the more extreme viewpoints espoused by some of the more radical sects.

Whatever your thoughts this is a really well done documentary that you can watch online.
